Senior Researcher, Instituto Propague (2022–2024)

Amanda holds an M.A. in International Political Economy from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), where she specialized in Development, Green Finance, and Low-Carbon Economics. As a consultant in regulation, public policy, and antitrust, she excels in producing strategic quantitative and qualitative analyses, offering innovative and high-level solutions.

For two years, Amanda served as a researcher at the Institute for Applied Economic Research (Ipea) within the Directorate of Macroeconomic Studies and Policies (Dimac). During this period, she conducted in-depth research and quantitative analysis in areas such as business cycle analysis, innovation, foreign trade, international economics, and public finance, with a specific focus on socioeconomic development.

During her two-and-a-half-year tenure at Instituto Propague, Amanda was actively involved in the debate, design, and promotion of projects focused on regulation, innovation, financial education, and retail. Leveraging her solid academic background, she represented the fields of green finance and energy transition, authoring a monthly column on innovations within the green financial system. Furthermore, she played a crucial role in developing code across various interfaces and programming languages, creating automated routines to populate databases. These databases served as essential material for seasonal studies on the national retail sector and for mapping the socioeconomic profile of Brazilian households—specifically focusing on financial education, payment market integration, and economic-financial risk analysis.

With extensive experience in data analysis, she has developed advanced skills in quantitative methods applied to both macro and microdata, as well as qualitative expertise in advocacy and public policy.

Amanda earned her B.A. in Political Science from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). Since 2019, she has contributed to the Business Cycle Bulletin (Boletim de Conjuntura) produced by the Laboratory for Hegemonic and Economic Studies (LEHC) within the Graduate Program in Economics at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). In this capacity, she provides editorial support, peer review, and article contributions, demonstrating a continuous commitment to academic excellence and intellectual development.
