Ana Carolina Cordeiro is a doctoral researcher in Economics. Her academic and professional expertise focuses on Industrial Organization, with an emphasis on Energy Economics and Regulation, Energy Transition, and Innovation. She serves as a consultant in the fields of antitrust, regulation, and public policy, providing strategic quantitative and qualitative analysis for complex cases.
For two years, she served as a researcher for the Applied Project Development Program (PDPA)—a partnership between the Niterói Municipal Government, the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), and the Euclides da Cunha Foundation (FEC). In this role, she developed solutions for priority urban challenges, specifically regarding sustainable urban mobility. Her background also includes supporting regulatory agencies in tariff reviews for energy utilities and developing university-level curricula focused on climate change and the role of governments and organizations in sustainability. Furthermore, she has contributed to high-level reports for Brazilian industrial entities through the Energy and Regulation Group (GENER – UFF), addressing topics such as the restructuring of the Brazilian natural gas market.
Throughout her career, she has developed advanced skills in quantitative analysis, including industrial indicators, descriptive statistics, and econometric modeling, as well as qualitative assessment, such as public policy impact evaluation and field research.
Ana Carolina holds a B.A. in Economics (2017) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and an M.A. (2019) in Economics from the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), where she is currently a Ph.D. candidate specializing in Productive Development and Structural Change. In 2018, she attended the Summer School program "Exploring Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Post-Oil Economies," hosted by Nord University (Norway) and UFF. She was a member of the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE), presenting at international conferences on energy transition, innovation diffusion, and sustainable mobility, in addition to industry events such as Rio Oil & Gas.
